The aims and objects to be pursued by the Society are To initiate, carry out, execute, implement, aid and assist activities towards skill development in the Indian Education sector (“Sector”) and meeting the entire value chain’s requirements of appropriately trained manpower in quantity and quality on a sustained and evolving basis. To identify the needs of skill development in the Education Sector including taking steps to prepare catalogue of types of skills, range and depth of skills to facilitate choice to individuals. To develop a skill developments plan for the Education Sector and maintain skill inventory. To determine skills/competency standards and qualifications in consonance with the Education Sector norms. To plan and execute “Training of Trainers” for Education Sector skill development. To promote academies of excellence. To establish a well structured Sector specific International platform to assist planning and delivery of training.
